"Shanti means inner peace. We can only truly attain inner peace when we have realized that we are only guests on earth and endeavour to care for the welfare of our sisters and brothers. No one on this earth needs to suffer hunger or want.
The aim of the Trust is to help many people to find the source of their Divine Self within themselves, to produce spiritual literature inspired by the spirit of love accessible to many people and to support and sponsor social projects at home and abroad.
The Divine Principle is a principle of balance, harmony and sharing."
With love, Meena Ma
The Meena Ma Shanti Trust has been founded to serve human beings.
The foundation members consist of three employees of public institutions, a prospective general physician, a retired bilingual secretary, two house wives, an engineer, a psychological counsellor, a retired teacher, a special needs educator, a student of psychology, a freelance therapist and a dentist.
In spite of the great variety of these professionals from diverse fields, all foundation members have a heart-felt desire to render selfless service and to practice the basic values of Christianity, i.e. truth, righteousness, non-violence, peacefulness and love.
In doing so the Trust would like to emphasize that these ideals are not only the basic principles of Christianity, but rather the basic ethics of life and of mankind in general. They are of universal value and you find them in many religions and ethical traditions.
As such, the work of the Trust can only be carried out in a spirit of ecumenism and inter-religious cooperation which means that world religions, such as Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Islam among others, work and grow closer together. We would be very pleased to welcome people of all religions and ethical communties, who would like to act in the spirit of unity and love, as sponsors of our Trust.
We strongly believe that most illnesses are caused due to the gradual loss and lack of the fundamental values mentioned above. This leaves an imprint in our soul which makes us suffer from the core of our beings. And yet these are the qualities that keep a society together and enable people to live together in harmony.
The Trust wants to help people, who wish to make use of this offer by their own free will, in order to strengthen faith in God and God's Kingdom within (Lucas 17,21) as well as to revive, deepen and honour the basic universal values.
At present, the Trust offers the following services:
· Twice a week healing blessings and meditation are held at the prayer hall in Hofheim. This service is open to everyone and free of charge. There is also the possibility to receive Meena Mas blessings for healing body, mind and spirit, which is also open to everyone and free of charge. Meena Ma has been bestowed by God's grace to help people to relieve and overcome their suffering. With the power of her healing she evokes the faith in those who seek help from her. She deepens their faith and inspires them to develop a foundation of faith within, which is the key to complete healing.
· For help and advice in personal matters, Meena Ma can be contacted by fax or telephone. For this special purpose a telephone service has been set up and is available twice a week. Her many experiences in this work have shown her that people have faith in her advice which refers to psychological and spiritual aspects of life.
· Healing blessings and personal advice are also given free of charge in Bavaria, where Meena Ma stays several times during the year.
· All members of the Trust work without pay according to the principle of selflessness.
· In the founding session on October 15, 2003 a project for building a small childrens village in India was agreed upon. In order to start putting this plan into practice, Meena Ma (1st Chairperson) and Benjamin (Treasurer and Secretary) flew to India on October 21, 2003.
· On December 24, 2003, the auspicious day of Christmas Eve, the Meena Ma Shanti Trust was founded with the help of the Archbishop of Thrissur, which is the capital of the district of the equally named district in the South Indian state Kerala. This Trust is a public welfare institution.
· On December 31, 2003, the Trust bought the required plot for the planned childrens village in Thalikulam/Kerala by taking a loan from the German Meena Ma Shanti Verein.
· Since April 2007 the Meena Ma Shanti Trust is registered by the government as a charitbale trust.
· This childrens village is to be established like the SOS Childrens Villages of the Hermann-Gmeiner-Foundation. As a selfless service Indian orphans are to be given a home in which they can grow up with love, care, warmth and security so that they can develop a feeling of their own Divine individuality. First of all a family house for orphaned Indian girls will be built. In some families in India boys are more welcome as offspring, as they usually earn the money and can thus support the family. Girls are mostly married off. Therefore it is much more difficult for girls in India to get any social protection it is our deep wish to help these needy girls.
If you wish to support the Meena Ma Shanti Verein in Germany in the form of donations, please feel very welcome to do so.
